Journey IV marks the chapter where potential was recognized.
For the first time, opportunity came from outside the circle.
An organization from another state, an airplane ride away, scouted Gianni through his performance and invited him to compete at the Boston Chowder Cup—one of youth hockey's most recognized proving grounds.
There were no familiar coaches. No teammates from previous seasons. No established relationships to lean on.
Everything had to be earned.
This was the first time the game felt larger than home. It was the first time opportunities appeared because of performance alone. The first time independent scouts, coaches, and organizations began paying attention.
It was also the beginning of relationships that would continue for years. Conversations shifted from parents speaking on behalf of a player to Gianni speaking for himself. The pursuit was becoming his own.
The recognition wasn't an arrival.
It was an invitation.
An invitation to continue proving what was possible.
The lessons learned here were simple: trust the work, embrace the unknown, and let performance speak for itself.
Looking back, this chapter marked the moment possibility became tangible.
Not where the journey started.
Where potential was recognized.
Every location.
Every lesson.
Every chapter.
Every journey leaves a mark.
